OC I see this [Datsun 240z] every week on the way to band practice
spotted - A new community for car spotting
Since /r/spotted shut down during the blackouts, I've been missing seeing pictures of the random cars that people see, so I've created !spotted (or @spotted for people on kbin). Come share some pics of cars you've seen!
OC The [Ferrari 458] looks great with racing stripes
OC [Porsche Carrera] I saw a few months ago
What do you think is responsible for lemmy’s growth over other alternatives like KBin and Tildes?
Is it speed? Features? Ease of development? Just curious why lemmy is seeing more activity as opposed to other networks.
spotted - Community for pictures of cars that you see out in the wild
Since /r/spotted got taken over, I decided to make a magazine on kbin for car spotting! Go check out @spotted if you're interested! (Let me know if the link doesn't work)

What browser extensions are there for translating text and showing definitions of words in other languages?
Hey everyone! I decided I'd start practicing my German, since it's been a few years since I studied it, and I'm looking for a chrome extension that lets me translate words or phrases quickly....

From the CEO of Mastodon: What to know about Threads (blog.joinmastodon.org)
There’s been a lot of speculation around what Threads will be and what it means for Mastodon. We’ve put together some of the most common questions and our responses based on what was launched today.
Cool clip of someone displaying some graphs on an old VFD display. ~30 seconds (youtu.be)
God I really need to get back into tinkering. This video (and the Posy VFD video, which is probably the reason YouTube recommended this to me) makes me long for the days when electronics were more unique. Everything had its own look, every display had to be intentionally designed around the hardware limitations of the time....
Hi-Fi Rush update includes a new 'blistering 200 BPM' challenge mode and a 'not so little' secret (www.pcgamer.com)
This one goes to 11!
Loving the new updates, but what all has changed?
I tried looking around for a changelog but I couldn't find one anywhere (let me know if you know where it is, I know you can look at the commits/merged PRs on Codeberg but there's a lot to dig through)....
Reddit hated emojis, how does Kbin feel?
Seemed like emojis in posts / comments would get downvoted to oblivion on Reddit. I don’t see the same thing on Kbin (or other instances / services).
OC I designed and rendered a couple of icons for the magazines I started, and I’d like to share some behind the scenes images with y'all. I’m also open to doing a few more of these in future.
So I 3D modelled two icons (well, illustrations rather) for the communities that I created on kbin: Industrial Design and Jewelry Design. These icons are meant to reimagine kbin’s logo in a way that's relevant to each community....
