So if I am understanding this correctly(let me know if I am wrong). It seems the people protesting against war were nonviolent and the people protesting for war were violent.

Sorry if this was too hard to follow, I know it is complicated. I would try to make it more simple, but I think if I did I would not have any words to use.

Spelling

30p87,

“[…] switching the default search engine back to Bing […] from Google Search (or whatever other browser is set as default).”

Google is a Browser now, neat. And somehow it’s relevant in a post about search engines.

“Microsoft Edge, the default browser pre-installed on Windows machines, and Bing Search aren’t bad products by any means - they are solid alternatives to Google’s own Chrome and Search.”

They may be good compared to Chrome and now also Google. But even rotten eggs are better than literal shit, at least for most people.

California university president put on leave for ‘insubordination’ after meeting Gaza protesters’ demands (www.politico.com)

California State University placed Sonoma State campus President Mike Lee on leave Wednesday after he agreed to protesters’ demands to involve them in university decision-making and pursue divestment from Israel.

themeatbridge,

Those who make peaceful protest impossible make violent revolution inevitable.

“Dude, it’s not cool that you keep killing all of your neighbors’ pets. I know you and the owners have bad blood, but pets don’t even have a say in what’s happening. Plus, it kinda goes against the HOA regula-”

”WHY ARE YOU LITERALLY TRYING TO DESTROY MY HOUSE???!!!”

“What does murdering innocent pets have to do with your house?”

“OH MY GOD, IT’S JUST LITTLE OLD ME AGAINST THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD! WHY DO THEY HATE ME??? I’LL KILL YOUR DOG IF YOU DON’T SAY YOU LIKE ME RIGHT NOW!!!”

“Dude…”

Remaining pets: “We miss our friends…”

“THAT’S SO GODDAMN ANTISEMITIC THAT I CAN’T EVEN START TO EXPLAIN HOW IT’S ANTISEMITIC”

This is how Russia makes sure the 2028-29 harvest in the USA fails.

They aren't going to stop using food as a weapon and this is one of our weak points.

Relatives of the doctors were told by the State Department that rescue efforts were underway, including through coordination with the United Nations and the Israel Defense Forces. Yet on Monday, the Israeli military fired on a United Nations vehicle that was traveling to the European Hospital in Khan Younis, near Rafah, killing a U.N. employee and injuring another.

Yeah, I wouldn’t trust IDF to rescue anyone. IDF is only capable of mass murder. They are literally bombing their own civilian hostages because it’s acceptable loss. They must have gotten US playbook, not only weapons with all that military aid.

conditional_soup,

They’re letting him off pretty light for trying to be another piece of shit shooter.

athairmor,

What? Private companies can and do sell shares of the company and people who own them are shareholders. The difference is that the shares aren’t traded on public markets.

People who own shares in publicly traded companies are also called investors.

The nepo babies wouldn’t serve–same as always. And the political unpopularity of conscription has never changed. The last war draft is still in living memory, and US current military activity hasn’t been an improvement in terms of public appetite.

The US introduces conscription again, and there’ll be riots–and I don’t mean “some kids camped at college and the jackboots locked them up” protests; it’ll be government-building burning, widespread-looting riots.

If you want to do conscription, the kids have to trust the government not to kill them for oil.

“Just to simply announce today that we will change our approach on arms exports, it would make Hamas stronger and it would make a hostage deal less likely,” he adds.

… But it would SAVE civilians and force Israel to reevaluate their blatantly low standard for collateral damage.

That Cameron simply thinks “hammering more aid” into Gaza can offset the destruction of 500-2000lb bombs in densely-populated civilian centers needs to be called out head-on by reporters and activists.

At the end of the day, Israel has committed the equivalent of well over 20 if not 30 October 7ths in terms of the death and destruction to innocent civilian lives. REGARDLESS of Hamas’ actions, it speaks more on Israel that they don’t value the alleged human shields Hamas supposedly uses at every strike Israel makes.

How Zionism became a synonym for violence and oppression (www.theguardian.com)

For decades, Joe Biden has proudly declared that he is a Zionist, and he has repeated that claim since Hamas’s 7 October attacks on Israel. But for the student anti-war protests gripping the US, the words “Zionist” and “Zionism” have become a watchword – pejorative and emblematic of the violent state policies driving...

adespoton,

“I am a Zionist,” the New York Times columnist Bret Stephens recently wrote, “because I see Israel as an insurance policy for every Jewish family, including mine, which has endured persecution and exile in the past and understands that we may not be safe forever in our host countries.”

Mark that as another person who doesn’t understand what Zionism is.

Israel could make an arrangement with Christmas Island or some other low population nation to convert it to a safe place for ethnic Jews to live.

Zionism is about claiming that specific land (to the borders established under King David) as a Jewish (in faith and ethnic) nation to prepare it for the coming of the New Jerusalem.

Criticizing Israel? Nonprofit Media Could Lose Tax-Exempt Status Without Due Process (theintercept.com)

It doesn’t take much to be accused of supporting terrorism these days. And that doesn’t just go for student activists. In recent months, dozens of lawmakers and public officials have, without evidence, insinuated that U.S. news outlets provide material support for Hamas. Some even issued thinly veiled threats to prosecute...

It's McCarthyism all over again. God forbid someone thinks Israel is fucking up and actually says so. This kind of shit was repugnant then and it will be repugnant in the history books.

Enjoy being on the wrong side, you intellectually stunted children.

What does it say when you blatantly name your company after the surveillance tool of SAURON, and hardly anyone mentions it?

Believe them when they tell you who they are.
