I’m back in the courthouse ..day 2 of Manhattan DA’s case against , which starts at 9:30 am. Up first? A hearing on the scope of the DA’s cross examination of Trump if he decides to testify.

That proceeding — known as a Sandoval hearing because of 1974 New York case for which it’s named — is designed to ensure that a defendant who elects to testify does so in an informed way, knowing what areas are likely to be explored when he is cross-examined

Shocking news this past week. I play cards online with friends every week or two. I was supposed to play Thursday night but was too sick. The group found a sub and played for two hours, and after the game, one of my friends found his spouse had died. Apparently, it was due to complications from a recent surgery, but her death was very unexpected. His wife was a lovely, smart, very nice woman. She leaves behind two adult children. A reminder to appreciate those around you.
