Tbh I feel like should do something about Raichik, she's giving them a bad name. All Chabadniks I've ever met were kind people, and while we're not necessarily always on the same page politically or theologically I doubt that Chabad—or Am Yisroel in general—is profiting from having a high-profile, violent bigot associated with us, doing incitement every day. Often in collaboration with prominent antisemites, I might add.

@ViciousBabushka @alter_kaker when mainstream media writes about white Christians they may say X person is a member of controversial church blah blah.

When they write about black people or Jews they write controversial person is a member of church/synogogue x.

I don't know what I think about expecting religious organizations being expected to answer for every terrible person of that faith. If they're "clergy" that's different.

Last week I saw dozens of planted stories on how some convents and monasteries saved ~3k Jews during the . This data is true but old news and has been known for years.

I was fairly certain a story was about to break that "the knew everything that was happening to the people" story. Boy am I shocked!

I've included the new story and a Catholic damage control story.

    The whole #Musk/ #X/ #Xitter/ #Twitter/ #ADL argument is a great example of how much happier people are to "oppose antisemitism" rather than support Jews.

    Groypers attack Jews for standing up to antisemitism and people would rather oppose Musk/Twitter rather than take the ADL's side, supporting them.

    Non-Jews love arguing about where Jews should be. Our agency, our decision and input, is at best secondary and at worst hostile.

    @luis_de_sousa @mekkaokereke @Jorsh twitter is a powerful congregating place for black and Jewish communities (as examples). I left twitter and I joined a Jewish fediverse instance and I'm happy with that but losing the Jwitter community is a palpable loss.

    If the fediverse wants people and their communities to be here instead of there then it needs to clean itself the fuck up. I have an almost completely walled off Jewish exclusive experience here and I still have to run into antisemitic assholes frequently.

    For people from routinely targeted communities who want a more open experience this place is not welcoming and it's just as bad or worse than twitter.

    And defederating our small niche instances from the big one with shitty moderation of hate speech and behavior isn't the great option you imagine in your head. It just ghettoizes us.
