Tesla stocks dropped 20%. says he’s cutting prices to sell more cars to gain market share. I’m guessing the real reason for the 20% drop in stock prices is due to Musk’s mismanagement of Twitter. He allows right wing white Christian nationalists, Nazis, Putin’s propaganda and anti-trans, anti-Semitic, racists a platform to spew their lies and hate. I for one will never buy a Tesla. 35 ish years ago, I was a single mom with two kids. We lived from paycheck to paycheck and were surviving. We budgeted carefully with very little fun money but we loved to garden together.
For my birthday, as a surprise, my kids earned enough money, on their own, to buy me three blueberry bushes. They rode their bikes across town to get them.
We decided we would plant our blueberries in the ground when we found our forever home.
I thought I lost them during the drought.
All three plants are back, and the new growth is beautiful.
Summer will have homegrown blueberries this summer.

@norcalgrandma Congratulations. I planted Blueberries a few years ago. The first 2-3 years saw very little growth. I applied some natural fertiliser last year & the results are already visible, vigorous Blueberry bushes coming into bloom.

    Stranger than fiction; residents of a north Swedish town, Gavle, erect a 13m high goat made of straw every Christmas. Even stranger, arsonists & saboteurs have attacked the goat most years, sometimes destroying it. A man from Ohio was found guilty of destroying the goat by arson & ordered to hand over his lighter because he was deemed "unqualified to use it properly", (that's Ohio for you 😂).
    Another group plotted to kidnap the goat & remove it to Stockholm by helicopter, proving there is no end to human ingenuity ( & madness).

    I transplanted some trees today. It mightn't seem like the most important thing in the world but working in light rain, looking out over the sea, it was enough to keep me occupied.
    Planting is always a guessing game. I placed these Hazel trees in what I thought was a good arrangement, two years ago. I had a plan, drawn out carefully on squared paper, all to scale. It made sense to me. Nature laughed at my plan & decided otherwise.
    Pollinating insects couldn't be bothered flying between the Cobs & the Turkish Hazel, the intended patriarch I planted too far away for their liking. I saw my error last summer, too late. All one can do in summer is learn & wait I marked some trees with decorator's tape & left the bees to their harvest in the hedgerows. Today, in November, all's quiet in the orchard so I'm back while nature is looking the other way. The sun is low in the sky & I'm moving trees while they're asleep. They'll wake in the spring as if nothing changed. So I hope. I'll be out again tomorrow, making more mistakes & hoping I might learn something
