The city’s annual art exhibition is afoot! This year we go to the city’s pollinator sites and make art about them. It’s for the butterflies or the bees, I can’t remember. I biked out to my closest site and had the best time doing this today. I made these extremely piss poor pixel sketches while cars were whipping past me and a cop was watching. I couldn’t see my iPad from the sun. Still did it tho. #art #kentucky #pixelart

I fixed this bug in my code yesterday but I'm sitting here crying laughing about it today. Godot The Game Engine You've Been Waiting For really said with its whole chest, THAT NULL CHECK CAN'T STOP ME BECAUSE I CAN'T READ

@tartley So in this example, sprite_node is null. Godot is reading “if sprite node is NOT null.” Given that it is, Godot should go past the if block and continue with the code.

For reasons only higher beings know, Godot is going into the if block. It can’t call a function on sprite_node because sprite_node is null (doesn’t exist), so it crashes. This COULD have been prevented if it just listened to the if condition.
