Some games can be played from an USB drive, but there are plenty that will have problems. Some won't even start up it crashes immediately, others have problems with the FMV (full-motion video) playback being to choppy ruining the experience of playing the games in the first place.
Yeah PS2 games can get really big especially if there were release as multi disc games and even some of the single disc games can go as high as 8GB, like for example Yakuza 2.

@light haha true. I mostly wanted to play dumb crap like the Futurama game 🤣😂 the USA version is super pricey.

@jake4480 Here's Keza MacDonalds piece..

Katamari Damacy, the very emblem of all that was weird and wonderful about the PlayStation 2 library... Katamari’s designer, Keita Takahashi, made it in less than a year with a budget of £650,000.

I'm amazed that people are still bothered to find new ways to launch games on . The latest discovery is that it is possible to do it through memory card slot, which apparently has more bandwidth than the built-in USB1.1 ports.

So with a special adapter, you can play from a MicroSD card without any of the stuttering that occurs when using a usb drive.

The thing is called MX4SIO

Who tried the tactics game of Suikoden?
My physical copy included a bonus music cd soundtrack.

Suikoden Tactics, released in 2005, takes place before IV for a small portion of the story but the majority of story then fast forwards 10 years after IV. Its departure from fhe typical JRPG series using the tactical grid that grew in popularity from other emerging tactics games at that time.

nickesc,

Received this Logitech Cordless Action Controller for the PS2 in the mail today.

I’d been going back and forth on whether or not I needed this, but lots of people say this is pretty much the best wireless PS2 controller out there, so I caved.

I’ve been trying it out, and so far it definitely feels like a nice controller, good build quality and fits the hand better than a DualShock. It’s a little smaller than I expected but definitely not uncomfortable. The d-pad also feels a little more like defined buttons than a regular DualShock, which I’m not sure how I feel about yet.

You can only pick one from this lineup?

@MURRRAAAAY THUG is pretty good, but is it the best PS2 Tony Hawk? 🤔 I'll have to think.

It would probably be Thug from that list alone though, for sure. I think Return to Castle Wolfenstein is ok but You're better off playing that on Xbox or, for multiplayer, playing ET:Legacy on PC.

Playing Cave's early PS2 racing game Touge 3 , funnily released as Road Rage 3 in the west when the 2nd never left Japan & the 1st was called High Velocity.
It passes the vibe check with a smooth soundtrack and fun physics that lean somewhat towards sim but keep most of that arcade feel. The controls are good & you can calibrate almost everything you want. You can even adjust the front and rear spring rates to get the kind of control you want.

Je vous publie mon nouvel article dédié à God Hand, un beat'em up particulier qui sera le dernier projet de feu Clover Studio, et très certainement le projet le plus personnel de Shinji Mikami.

Le partage est doux et le partage donne le sourire aussi ! ❤️

we’ve got Shadow Hearts: From the New World for the

FtNW was the third entry in the Shadow Hearts series, and the first game I bought over the internet. FtNW is an odd game- it has the classic hard-as-nails timed-hit combat the series is known for, but goes crazy town with character and story, the main drawback of which is some problematic depictions of First Nations people. Still, I have a large soft spot for this odd game with its unhinged cast of characters.

Back of the box, showing the whole cast of characters in a line (led by Shania) with some promo text. The game is rated T, shockingly given it’s violence, alcohol use, and sexual suggestiveness.
Interior of the box showing manual and disk. The manual is somewhat wrinkly.

Thanks so much for sharing this. 😊 It's really interesting to read about games I don't know about yet.
I really appreciate it 😁
Looking forward to your next week 😉

New review! 260 - Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus

This week we step into the shoes of Sly in the first outing of the master thief. I have very fond memories of the sequels, but can the original stand the test of time?

Sony put out the Premium Series Doko Demo Issyo SCPH-10020 KA white memory card for the PlayStation 2 on November 27, 2003.

Unfortunately, the Doko Demo Issyo website on the packaging from 21 years ago no longer works. 🤣

But you still get that 8 megabytes of sheer memory power, baby
