First mech I’ve painted in forever. It’s a 3D print of a Jade Phoenix. I used the Army Painter #Battletech speed paints for the base coat and then 3 different versions of yellow. #PaintingMiniatures
Skull Company posed on a battle mat before game, just to get a shot of them all together, followed by a shot of our three way game that ensued, at 300 points each, on two neoprene mats (equivalent of 4 map sheets)
My C3I skull l2 with a phoenix hawk LAM vs a Davion C3 force, vs the base defender's ECM and flak heavy force.
Forced retreat on, in the end the defender won by default, as nobody could really contest any better than he could defend.
@scottboehmer Wow, given the negativity Shadowrun players can have against the game and the company (at least, those vocal online), that's quite brave! ^^
@kyonshi that's a good question. I have ordered my stuff from Aries or Fortress and just accepted thge shipping costs as part of life. But, the newer boxed miniature sets does include some non mech units. I'm not sure they have all started shipping yet, though.
...and they're done! All the mechs from the Inner Sphere Force Packs are painted (and the AGoaC and Beginners Box). I started this in June 2022 and this was my first proper painting run (after a practice run of a Skaven Blood Bowl team) and I've been painting whenever I can since then. 50 mechs done! I have some Clan boxes but I'll be doing those all in one clan's scheme per box, which should be a bit easier than coming up with a new paint job for each mech (I did one IS force pack in Kurita colours just as a test run).
I'm quite proud of all of them but I think my favourites are the "character" mechs - the Cylon Centurion, Skeletor Atlas, He-Man Victor, Shockwave Cyclops. The Stalker, Dragon, Orion, Archer and the Unseen mechs turned out pretty good too. The Thug is probably my least favourite because of the garish colour scheme but at least it stands out :). 1/3 #battletech#miniatures#miniaturepainting
