I’ve been messing around with my airbrush for a bit now, and finally had the chance to put #ArmyPainter#speedpaint through it. Had an interesting AB situation. I had done the one on the left using a regular brush and the one on the right through the airbrush. I probably went heavier than necessary (yay inexperience), but they look pretty comparable, particularly in the panel lines. I will airbrush base coat with speedpaints again. #miniaturepainting#battletech
These are two of the good plastic minis they used to make. Decent detail, and the model number stamped on the front. I'm going to try the modeling tool to get the last of the paint off, but after that...
My original intent was to leave them as-is except for basing them, so they looked like a statue of a mech standing in a park.
I may have to change that plan if I need to prime them.
Progress.
Grey Lance in the middle will be Carlyle's Commandos colors. Yellow Lance will be Oberon's Guards and need black and metal applied still. Left is Fox Patrol and still need finished bases.
First mech I’ve painted in forever. It’s a 3D print of a Jade Phoenix. I used the Army Painter #Battletech speed paints for the base coat and then 3 different versions of yellow. #PaintingMiniatures

I've been looking at #Warhammer40k but that's prohibitively expensive - #Battletech was my second choice and seems a lot more reasonable, but I'd still like to check around.
Skull Company posed on a battle mat before game, just to get a shot of them all together, followed by a shot of our three way game that ensued, at 300 points each, on two neoprene mats (equivalent of 4 map sheets)
My C3I skull l2 with a phoenix hawk LAM vs a Davion C3 force, vs the base defender's ECM and flak heavy force.
Forced retreat on, in the end the defender won by default, as nobody could really contest any better than he could defend.
Now this robot is almost fully dressed! Need to even out a stripe or two and then it's ready for decals and basing, and I can move on to the nextt mech.
I should mention that if you are interested in Epic/Battletech/Ogre scale miniatures, SJ Games is doing a project for a new set of tanks that I’m of course getting two of.
