Is there a legit way to restore old ragged CDs back into playability?

@BlackenedGreen the one thing I have found that KINDA works is toothpaste. No, really, spreading it on the CD and then gently wiping it clean seems to work? It's been a while since I've worried about CD preservation tho

I have done this too. I use water too, to thin the paste out some. It fixes CDs that skip.
