Bin gerade am Überlegen ob ich mein jüngstes #Smartphone (#Oneplus 8) auch mit #LineageOS bestücken soll. Leider habe ich keine andere Wahl ein alternatives #CustomROM außer LineageOS zu installieren, da zb #GrapheneOS oder #CalyxOS das Gerät nicht unterstützen. Der momentane Zustand mit dem hauseigenen Betriebssystem #OxygenOS von Oneplus ist nicht mehr tragbar. Viele nutzlose (Spy)Apps von Oneplus lassen sich nicht deinstallieren, einige wenige nur deaktivieren. Sehr unbefriedigend das ganze.
Wie bereits angekündigt, habe ich die Empfehlungsecke überarbeitet. So wurde zum Beispiel das Kapitel Android Custom-ROMs komplett überarbeitet. Unter anderem neu dabei eine Orientierung: »Welches Custom-ROM soll ich installieren?« 👇
Thema #CustomROM : Warum sind die eigentlich nicht universell? Ein #Smartphone ist doch nichts Anderes als ein PC und da kann ich mir auch jedes #Linux bzw. OS draufhauen. Warum also muss es eine CR immer explizit für dieses eine Telefonmodell geben? Klar, andere CPU, andere GraKa, anderer Speicher, aber beim PC geht's doch auch. Ich wünsche mir, dass CRs einfach auf jedem Phone anwendbar werden.

Quelqu'un utilise ou connaît quelqu'un qui utilise la ROM custom BlissROM (BlissLabs) ? Ils ont une version maintenue pour mon téléphone, mais je sais pas si c'est fiable et suffisamment stable...

Kleiner Schnitzer bei /e/ gefunden. Der /e/OS Browser lädt die »filters.dat« vom Bromite-Browser nach. Das Projekt wurde allerdings eingestellt. Die Filterliste wurde das zuletzt am 14. Dezember 2022 aktualisiert. Das sollte angepasst werden @murena. Fragwürdig ist auch der Unique-Device-Identifier, den jedes Gerät erhält und der bei der Suche nach Updates mitgesendet wird. That's a good question! Again, the #Pixel phones have better (camera) specs than #Fairphone. I'd like to try out #GrapheneOS which is Pixel exclusive. #Fairphone4 is supported by #CalyxOS which is good to know!
Currently I'm using a OnePlus Nord with #LineageOS combined with #microG. I would be fine with this phone, but these days #OnePlus limits the camera capabilities once you install a #CustomROM on it which I didn't know and is super frustrating :/
#tech question regarding phones. I need to buy a new one asap. Battery is suddenly not working properly and it is where my #CMG is. I don't want all the damn bloatware but I'm worried about switching from an android to an apple.
Is it easy to move from android to apple? Contacts, pics, etc?
Does Apple have less bloatware? Or does that depend on your service provider?

@Mary625 FairPhone if you are from EU? Otherwise you can always flash LineageOS or /e/OS on basically any Android phone. Don't use the stock roms from Samsung etc. Android is not the problem, Samsung is.
Ich suche ein kleines Tischradio (gerne DAB+/FFM), welches Bluetooth-Kopfhörer unterstützt. Viele haben BT, aber nur als Streaming-Empfänger (also vom Smartphone Musik auf dem Radio ausgeben). Ich suche aber eines, wo man Kopfhörer koppeln kann.
Es sollte klein sein, portabel wäre auch ok, aber kein muss.
Schwer so etwas zu finden, weil viele Radios Kopfhörer-Klinke haben (und Stream-BT) und damit ist man in jeder Suchmaschine verloren...
@calyxOS, I'm having audio issues since the last update. I'm running the OS on a Pixel 4a (5g). I rebooted my phone to install the latest update yesterday afternoon. Audio does not work on videos from NewPipe, YouTube.com, antennapod, etc.
No audio comes through during calls. Speakerphone button defaults to ON and cannot be unselected. None of the other buttons are pressable.
Is this issue unique to me? What can I do to fix this?
