#Ivory for #Mac isn't remembering the column count, or am I doing something wrong? After closing (minimizing) the app, the number of shown columns is just one again.
Before my annual Ivory subscription expires next month, I’m going to try using it as my main Mastodon client again for a while. I want to see if it’s worth renewing and using over Mona or Ice Cubes.
I do enjoy the design of Ivory as it reminds me of the days of using TweetBot, but I’ve felt for a while that the features are lacking compared to the other clients mentioned above. Let’s see if that’s changed.
My single biggest #UI wish for #Ivory@ivory is to add an option to disable all the cell swipe actions and add a “swipe anywhere to go back” feature. (Similarly to Twitter, the Mastodon official client, Woolly, Mammoth, and many other apps).
It would greatly improve single-handed use (with a right hand, that is).
Alternatively, a swipe on Tab Bar to go back a la @apolloapp would be an improvement.
Aw shucks. Just discovered the photos I’ve been saving from @ivory over the past million years are low res versions.. Fuuuuu..
Never assume, I guess. 😔
If you use #Ivory, and want to save the full quality picture, don’t use the “Save Image” option, use “Share” and then pick “Save Image” from there. I hope it’s a bug but I can see how it’s a design decision. 🤷♂️
Man I’m devastated. Never assume!!
Update: It seems to be instance/post related. If it’s a bug, @ivory, I have an example post for you.
A large number of draft posts ... not sure why they're in drafts? I don't start and save draft posts (it's not how I use the app).
A post had just failed to be sent to the server and I happened to see it in Drafts (I hadn't clicked that little Draft icon before). I don't know how I was supposed to know that. I had 14 others sitting there. I'm not sure if they failed as well to be posted.
I’d love to see #Mastodon (and/or clients like #Ivory) provide the feature to… I’m not sure what you’d call it, actually. It would let you put a certain person under a persistent “content warning”, in the case where you might not want to block/mute them, but they have the tendency to post non-CWed stuff a lot.
Maybe you could call it “screening” or “blurring” — something like that.
Again and again @ivory - in #ivory I see this Problem a lot. A posting with a short video clip. In Ivory I see just a gray area. If I tap it, I get a black (empty) player. Nothing plays.
I tap the share icon and select „open in Mona“ - I see the posting with a preview of that video. If I tap it, it instantly plays.
Don’t tell me it’s the server/instance or something. This works in #Mona and #IceCubes and I could check the older toot! If I need to. Only with ivory i see this problem.
#Ivory users: is there a way to sync filters across devices (either iPhone to iPad, or iPhone to Mac)? Having trouble doing so - but not sure if the app’s designed to allow that yet. Thanks! @ivory
So for all the #startrek, #StartrekPicard fans that didn't know ... this is Jeri - Seven of Nine - Ryan geeking out about Mastodon and #ivory (the app, @ivory)!
@ivory I can’t tell if this is related to a recent iOS change or not, but my photo permissions for #ivory appear to no longer allow full access to my photo library?
@ivory
With #Ivory on an iPad, when I look at the list of followers and followees in my profile, what order are they displayed in? Can I impose an order, or otherwise search the lists?
Is there a way to get @ivory to manually fetch or refresh accounts/profiles/toots of people on other servers?
I know I can open their profile in the in-app browser, but it’s such a hassle to have to log in and MFA every single time I want to follow/boost anything, and for some reason a lot of profiles never gets refreshed so I never see their updated profile/content in #Ivory. #Mastodon decentralized infrastructure problems… 🥲
