@itsfoss Just gave a second chance to #Moshidon after having authentication hiccups in the first one (still had them while setting up accounts today, but I figured it out). It presents the best of #MastodonApp and #Tusky:
can download media
profile links always on top
functional drafts
very familiar interface par to official Mastodon app
A new fediverse iOS app called fedicat @technicat (TestFlight) has a feature I’m calling “bloosts” which is a boost and a like in one button. I love it.
Now I want a “bloostmark” that boosts, likes and bookmaks a post at the same time. 😅
New app update: a few fixes and small improvements plus, finally, image descriptions, including text recognition!
I'll add automatic AI image captioning if this post gets enough traction.
(I'll probably add it anyways so don't feel obligated to boost 😆). #app#mastodonapp
If you are connected to firewalled wifi and attempt to post in the Mastodon app you do not get an error. Your post is eaten. Deleted forever.
I wrote this amazing post and it’s gone. This has happened before. Other apps say “cannot post” when firewalled. Seems like bug.
(please don’t tell me to use a different app I have four apps each with their own issues- the purpose of this post is to check if it’s fair to call it a bug)
You may have noticed something different when you share links to apps on Flathub 👀
Every app now gets a dynamically generated “meta image” for sharing on social media, in messaging apps, etc. Give it a try the next time you share a link to your favorite app!
And as an appropriate demo, check out this app that lets you preview how a link will show up on social media before you actually share it:
New update: the notifications screen now has a condensed design! Instead of one notification item for each individual favourite, boost, and reply, now you can see all of them in a succinct UI. Try it with your next popular post! #mastodonapp#android#app
I'm givin' up...
cdrom.tokyo have so many fuckin' issues. I've tried different browsers and time later it get useless: it turns blank. What the fuck?
Seriously should have their app so I could use it.
Again, I will be posting at nights from my laptop only.
Hope minidisc.tokyo won't have that shit... #akkoma#fediverse#Vivaldi
So, as far as I understand, mastodon social implements some of the beta features that are not fully rolled out. How am I to give feedback on them? (Preferably without actually activating my super old unused github account - FYI, yes, I know how to use git but work on a local gitlab installation).
Because I'm really unhappy about the way the replies work in the browser on mobile (I need to see the whole post I reply to, not just the first few lines!)
#Spoutible is an alternative social media platform, and it’s adding an #AI assistant named “Spouty” that will be able to assist with basic support questions, as well as respond to commands like “Remove any followed accounts if they haven’t spouted in over 6 months.” Or “Follow the top 15 accounts in the tech industry.”
Hi, hello! I'm looking for a new #Mastodon client for iOS and would like to know which one you use and could recommend. Free is nice of course, but I'm willing to spend a little money if it's a really nice app. :owi:
Continuing work on notifications in my Fediverse application #Pipilo. Added color highlighting and small animations that appear when there are unread notifications.
Also seen is a new layout for images that displays whole alt text under them.
Making it so it will be possible to quickly reply to mentions directly from notifications in #Pipilo. Do any other fediverse apps have a feature like this?
Continuing work on notifications in #Pipilo and am wondering. Should the app automatically dismiss push notifications when going to notifications screen in app?
The idea is that if you go there, then we can be sure that you saw the notification. But perhaps some people would like to keep them for later.
Dismissing or opening a push notification in #Pipilo will automatically update unread state (synchronized with web and other apps that use markers API).
This will remove the need to open notifications to mark them as read when viewing directly from notification center.
