there is now a #TheSmiths text adventure game on the #Commodore64 with some of the most boring AI energy i've read this side of #GamesRadar; a game about #Morrissey and The Smiths has to have good writing, that's the bare minimum.
There's an upside to "All The Way To Reno"—Michael tells me "You're gonna be a star!" over and over, and I'm not above propagandizing myself into a better place.
I just realised: the absolute un-shaking allegiance that MAGAs have to Trump is exactly the same as #Morrissey fans / apologists and, now, #MattyHealy fans.
@Jyoti I have assiduously avoided declaring myself a fan of anything for this reason. It seemed to become a ridiculous badge of stupidity in the early 2000s with the "fandoms", which seemed little more than a corporate badge of honour.
I can proudly say that while I liked The Smiths, Morrissey is a prick.
I've been hating JK Rowling and her coterie that needs to "read another book" since before it was fashionable.
I think having an unfixed personality is sometimes a curse, but not always
@Jyoti I feel Trumpet is a different class there though. You couldn’t claim you liked him ok as he was a good guy until X, he’s not been a good guy for decades and is in a league of his own, matched mainly by Boris in c*ntery.
Whether it's #Morrissey, #PhilipLarkin or #MattHealy the amount white people will bend over backwards to forgive their favourite racists is extraordinary.
