Hoping I have fewer side effects compared to mRNA (for me, slight fever, body aches and chills...gone in 24hrs). I pretty much had the same side effects with both Pfizer and Moderna.
I was turned down because my last shot was in September, and I'm not 65+yo.

But you'd think that they would filter all that prior to the appointment setting and me driving over there, and filling out more forms, then waiting 30min, only to be told NOPE.

This afternoon my wife and I got our spring #booster#Covid shots. Changing it up this time, we opted for the #Novavax vaccine (a first), and to use the contralateral arm from our previous practice.
There is some research indicating that switching arms might boost the immune response, but the largest effect was seen when switching for the two shots of the initial series, not for boosts.
Because PH is a nightmare disaster, all we have are stupid anecdotes
Anecdotally my friend on west coast told me her son’s college Discord group is “suddenly” ALL sick; every single one of them & they’ve never met in person. I assume they are all “living their lives”

Got my eleventy-sixth COVID booster today… (OK, really, I think it’s #8) Was really hoping to get #Novavax but the pharmacy was out, so another round of Moderna #Spikevax it is.
I’ll check again if anyone in town has Novavax in June, but what I’m not doing again is putting off a booster until a specific one is available. Last time I did that, waiting for the XBB booster release, I got covid instead. Sticking to whatever is available every four months from here on out.

Covid comes in waves. It always has. You feel fine so you exert yourself thinking you’re better but you need full bed rest at minimum 5 days
