I really like and ethos around here so much better than the ‘other’ site(s), BUT….. the engagement and interactions are SO much less. What am I missing and are there some tips and tricks I should be using to turn that experience around?

Here are a few hashtags for visibility on the things I most often comment on and talk about.

OK, it's 13:00 here, which means it's time for the post-lunch bolus of caffeine.

The Albina Press, the in NE is a real junkie's shop; open at 6am, close at 6pm, every day, coffee's intense. They serve , and have lots of seating in and outdoor. Pretty much perfect !

Feeling anxious today. I cannot tell if it was the 1/4 cup of black tea or the beautiful glass of rose I consumed yesterday (probably both).

I'm highly sensitive to sugar and caffeine and avoid them, for the most part. The next day after a slip is always a reminder to stay the course.

Has a BSD conference helped you get a job?

If so, how much do you spend on caffeine performing that job?

Would contributing the same value to say... the 20th Anniversary @bsdcan be a reasonable way of saying thanks?

the amphetamine i took (prescription ADHD drug that someone gave me) is making me hyper aware of everything and i'm up well past my usual bedtime. it's not dissimilar to having a lot of caffeine.

I have been trying to quit coffee for years and I haven't been successful at all.

But today is my fourth day without coffee, and I am actually not feeling like a werewolf!

Apart from a tiny headache, I feel pretty calm and collected.

Maybe a good compromise can be to not drink coffee during weekdays, but then have a coffee drink with whipped cream and pumpkin spice during the weekend?

What are your coffee habits? 💛

mrundkvist,
@mrundkvist@archaeo.social avatar

@MariaLiv I don't touch coffee, but for ~20 years I've been working to keep my habit on a manageable level. Often by drinking tea only every 2nd / 3rd / 4th day. Meanwhile, just with increasing age, an afternoon nap has become more and more unavoidable with or without tea...

I have some degree of dependency, it seems. I’m at 30-something hours without and I feel like I’ve been run over by a golf cart. cancelled. Heading for now.

I am at a constant crossroads with my caffeine addiction, I know that it isn't good for me in the long term, but also I'm averaging around 3ish hours of sleep a night so it's currently a necessary evil.

doesn't work as a hunger suppressant for me. It just changes what hunger feels like.

When caffeine and hunger combine with me, I feel sick to my stomach and irritable.
