Summer asked if we could head to the river in case a good swim might help with the skunk smell. Not to mention the benefits of sunshine and aerobic exercise.
She always has a convincing argument when it comes to field trips and adventures.
So off we went to find the redwoods and majestic Eel River.
Summer absolutely loves swimming in the river.
She still smells skunky but is a happy dog.

Summer just wants people to know that she hopes to be smelling less skunky soon.
Every day is a little better.
Still no collar because the smell wouldn't wash out. Anxiously waiting for the new ones to arrive. She couldn't decide if she wanted to stay with red or change things up, so we bought some new colors to try.
She can choose from blue, purple or her old standby red.

I'm looking at one of the live lightning detection web pages, and I'm getting the impression that it's missing some (based on what I'm hearing outside), probably cloud-to-cloud discharges. Is there some sort of filtering mechanism that only records ground strikes?

We always need somewhere other than keep her while grass is cut. And not having very much time on our hands, we have bought an almost assembled tortoise run.
I am relying on the Collie to interpret the instructions - my partner is of no use…. Meanwhile he is convinced he can work his stick into the construction.
It was a very warm day here in the Phx metro, and apparently we were not that far away from the evil orange weirdo today, but we still enjoyed ourselves and now it's time to settle in for snuggle cuddles.
