We had the entire patio to ourselves 🙂
At Brown's Social in downtown #VictoriaBC with my friend, Natalie. She's a horticulturalist, living in Deep Cove. We had some eats & drinks before going across street for PechaKucha Night VOL. 20.
They played #GenX tunes, the whole time we were there. We lucked out on getting street parking, one block away. Then lucked out on empty patio, on arrival. We had our own fire table 🥰
#hucklace detail in the #handwoven teatowels in progress. I love using bonus Danish long weekends to decompress with some quality time with my #louet loom #vævning#handmade
Now that I’ve made sure there were no threading or tie-up errors, I’m off and weaving. Huck lace in waves. 1221 warp threads at 30epi. Plan is to weave 4m of fabric for sewing. #handwoven#weaving
Finished! Handwoven tea towels (bar mops, artsy rags) all from the same warp, which was on the loom for 2 years (I don’t weave very often). #handmade#handwoven#weaving#fiberarts
Today I'm working with some rug weaving. Pattern is an enlarged rosepath (technically an overshot weave if you look at the pattern draft).
The pattern is done on 4 shafts and six treadles.
I have a small rowcounter to aid me in keeping track of my pattern picks. #weaving#glimåkraLoom#floorLoom#rugWeaving#handWoven @weaving@fiberarts
Finished the most recent wrap and was pulling it off the loom, to realize I made a spacing error near the middle, when doing the lace sections. (Bronson Lace, if I remember the name correctly.)
Whoops.
Need to tie off the end and then I'll see how it looks with the 2 extra sections where they shouldn't be.
That is why though, one shouldn't weave while overtired and unfocused.
