It’s been an unsettling week of events, & the wet weather systems coming into UK atm aren’t helping.…. but the recent rainy conditions favour the garden’s hostas. Some think hostas are all about the leaves, but this one’s producing stunning flowers, lifting my spirit #hosta#MacroPhotography#GayGarden#GayGarden
A few of the hostas are coming into bloom. The one in the lower left photo is odd - it's hiding its flowers under the leaves. I had to get down near the ground to get the picture. (Zone 5) @gardening #bloomscrolling#florespondence #garden#gardening#hosta
Just a reminder, Hosta is an edible landscape plant. (PLEASE be sure it's Hosta and a variety that's edible!!)
Pick before leaves unfurl. The tender new shoots. Wash carefully, and then sauté for few minutes in butter and garlic, salt and pepper. Similar to asparagus---slightly peppery. Delicious.
