Another bombing on civilians, another slaughtering, of course, “it was an Hamas compound” so all is legit. In the photo - #film#hp5#olympus - a reproduction of one of my favorite prints, honoring poet and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini, who, if still alive, would have gifted us dramatic poetry to describe these horrible days. #PhotoMondayhttps://flic.kr/p/2pFnrZC
The quality of the #ilford#hp5 is incredible, love the grain, which is a lot more controlled than the #3200 (which is still my favorite for artistic photos but not for day to day shooting). Btw, if you are in #Hamburg and like #sushi please, check out this place, it’s small and lovely! #PhotoMonday#MastoArt#Filmhttps://flic.kr/p/2pF83TL
Testing all three #films, I got the #hilford#3200 at the lab last week, shooting the new #Phoenix with the #Nikon now, and the #HP5 on the #Olympus. I’ll probably bring one of them at #FOSDEM later in the week, likely with a b&w roll.
From a 2023 walk at the Parthenon replica in Nashville. I like the look of HP5 at 1600. It gets grainy, but it works handheld in low light. It also works outside if you have a fast enough shutter speed or don't mind filters
I watched Godard’s “Breathless” again last night but just learned that it was filmed on Ilford HP5 (pushed to 800). Maybe this is common knowledge among aficionados?
Anyway, it’s some beautiful B&W cinematography.
Godard + Jean Seberg + HP5 = Magic.
Attached Wikipedia section explains how that was accomplished.
Yesterday I received the results of the first roll of #Ilford#hp5 shot with my vintage #nikon FM (bought second hand in 1988) in, about 25 years. I had serviced the camera (it survived) and recently found a #nikkor lens 28mm f/2.8 in good condition. I set up a still life just to test camera and lens. #believeinfilm#blackandwhite#aldofoto#monochrome .
