The Ingenuity team has nicknamed the spot where the helicopter completed its final flight “Valinor Hills” after the fictional location in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy novels, which include “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
Sometimes in British legends, Fairyland is underground. However, other times it is in the far west, across the Atlantic Ocean, and so must be sailed to. Fairyland being across the ocean inspired J. R. R. Tolkien to have his elves sail west to return to their homeland.

Though later fantasy inspired by Tolkien often makes dwarves anti-magic, in "The Hobbit" the dwarves cast spells to open doors, hide their buried treasure, and curse their enemies. They're also less mistrustful of Gandalf's magic than hobbits or humans are.
