This is my evening tonight. I am kickstarting (automated Linux install) 13 laptops. The system owner wants to ship them to the training site tomorrow so I said I'd try to get all 13 kickstarted tonight. It took a bit of work, but I have all 13 in progress. Now I just have to wait a really long time as these systems are older and slower. Time to find some other work to do.
These are old and slow so now I wait, and wait, for them to finish.
Bought my first new #Amiga release. Turbo Tomato from Nivrig Games. I absolutely love how quality this release is. The big box comes with a manual, poster, fridge magnet and sticker along the floppy disk. But the best is that the game is well done too! It’s a fun and fast battle arena and has a two player mode so I can play it with my son. You have to run around and pick up timed bombs to throw and hit enemies. You can also bounce them off walls, create chain reactions. #retrogaming
Turbo Tomato runs on OCS/ECS Amigas and needs only 1Mb RAM. But note that it requires Kickstart 2.0! As I have an A500 with more than 1Mb, I could softkick it. I used mkick from Aminet. It's not that straightforward, but can be done. What's important is to have the right #kickstart rom that's A500/A600 compatible and to have the arp.library from the ARP_13 archive installed: https://aminet.net/package/misc/antiq/ARP_13 I used kickstart 3.1 version 40.063 with the md5 sum e40a5dfb3d017ba8779faba30cbd1c8e #amiga
