Read through the latest volume of Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! Volume 7
I've really been enjoying this series a lot, and volume 7 brings us more information about the 2 main ladies, Mimi and Elma, by giving us more backstory, who their families are, and meeting key members of those families.
It also continue the overarching theme of trouble always finding Hiro. Supper funny and loved reading how the various battles play out.

Personally, I (@mdmrn) go either way. When it comes to my weeklies, I need 'em right away - so let's do it digitally. I like that I can have my manga in my pocket with me to read at any tme.
But, when I'm chilling at home and unwinding, I like cracking open a physical edition of a book. And it's also easier to share with friends / family if they're interested in reading them.
Again, what about you? What's your preferred format for reading manga or light novels?

Figured I'd post some #manga and #lightnovels I've gotten in over the past month.
So for Manga I got the first 4 volumes of Komi Can't Communicate (boxset from Goodwill) and Reincarnated as a GIRL in Another World! Volume 8.
For light novels. I got in latest volumes of My Unique Skill, Kuma Bear, Loner Life, and I'm the Evil Lord. Also the 4th collection of Slayers. I filled in some gaps in series of Berserk of Gluttony, and Broke Mercenary. As for A Certain Magical Index, I got all 19 volumes via a ShopGoodwill auction lot.
J-Novel Club is doing an original light novel contest, and submissions are due by January 31st, 2024. I honestly want to try and write something for it, even if it's only for my own satisfaction.
On #isekai and the isekai-adjacent, or those stories that should be isekai and aren't (or vice-versa):
"If that means spending two seconds to say Dr. Isekai Jones was hit by a drunk reindeer on Christmas Eve in Tokyo and wound up in Middle-Earth, and then never bringing it up again, that's a small price to pay to slap the hot 'isekai' label on it."
