1/ Ich muss noch mal was zu #Rammstein sagen. In der @tazgetroete ist ein Beitrag des Germanisten Uwe Schütte, der auf andere Germanist*innen schimpft, die einen Sammelband zu Rammstein herausgegeben haben. Er bezeichnet Rammstein als geistige Brandstifter.
Eins kann man wohl sehr klar sagen: Die Rammstein-Leute sind keine #Nazis. Paul Landers war bei der #Firma dabei. Die Firma, #IchFunktion und #Freygang waren Bands mit teils überlappenden Besetzungen. Die Firma hat 1988 in der #Zionskirche auf einem Konzert gespielt, das von West- und Ostberliner Skinheads überfallen wurde. Nach der Wende wurden sie auch noch mal auf einer Raststätte so zusammengeschlagen, dass der Gitarrist ausgestiegen und ausgewandert ist. Fabian Marten war auch bei der Firma ist jetzt Ton- und Lichtmensch bei Rammstein.
#FeelingB hat mit Aljoscha die Schönhauser 5 besetzt. Ein linkes Projekt. Die Firma war beim Eimer mit dabei und beim Tacheles. Das sind alles linke Anarchisten. Die #Wydoks haben 1990 für die #Volkskammer kandidiert.

Rammstein sind genau so wenig Nazis wie #Laibach Nazis sind und #DAF. Das ist vielleicht nicht für alle einfach zu verstehen.
Uwe Schütte erwähnt das Lied Deutschland von Rammstein und erklärt es zum Skandal. Für mich ist es ein ganz klares Bekenntnis zum Antifaschismus. Wer das nicht sieht, will es nicht sehen.
Der ganze Sex-Kram ist eklig und wahrscheinlich ist es das Ende der Band. Aber dann macht sie doch bitte für #metoo fertig und nicht mit ungerechtfertigten Sachen.

@Teri_Kanefield You can rant as much and as often as you want as far as I'm concerned. I'm old enough to have been grabbed, patted, assaulted and dated raped so many times that when #MeToo started I realized I can no longer even remember the whole list of incidents... Pretty much the story for most women my age. Men just thought they had absolute rights to grab us and we had no recourse. And this resurgence of patriarchy infuriates me.

He could never conceive of grabbing anyone or harassing anyone and he tended to think as #MeToo was happening that women were over-stating what happened. We had a few passionate arguments, with me talking about my experiences, which he still thought were in isolation. It took forever to get him to understand.

i started carrying last year. it no longer felt safe not to, which says a lot, b/c carrying is dangerous. if you think your life is in danger, even if it’s not, you might reach for a gun b/c you’re scared. when you do, other people are going to start shooting at you. but you’re surrounded by guns & tho the odds of death are low, people really are blowing other people away at random over interactions totally innocent and mundane. guns produce the very thing that cause people to buy them.
@dell Sun is shining. #metoo is still going strong. (Sexual harassment is still not okay if you are woman) We still have “free” healt care. And I can still ring a doorbell without risking being shot.
