It's almost May. Today is my 6 month anniversary on Mastodon. As I watch friends struggle with where to go next as that birdsite seems to be imploding I'm grateful for the opportunity to get to know this community. It is the quality of the engagement not the quantity. When my mom fell and bruised her hip in February I had people checking in with me later to see how she was doing (she has recovered but definitely more frail now) Thank You for just being here <3 #today

Went down to retrieve the trash bin only to discover it was still full. So, left it there n crossing fingers 🤞 they'll get to it later or tomorrow or something. Sure not gonna pull that thing back up to the house all full.🤨
Suppose there could be a collection strike or what not.🤔 Don't really know. I usually can hear them driving up n making all kinds a racket emptying it n all, but figured all that early morning "pondering" on whether to get outa bed or not, preoccupied my sleepy brain and I just didn't hear em this morning. Ah well...
Did finally get my lazy self up n doin my Friday chores of #myday. Dishes done, water bottles filled n stored back in the fridge to cool. Toast n peanut butter for lunch...
I'm on a walk with my kiddo and we get to the I-90 tunnel and it's totally empty...then 'Everywhere' by Fleetwood Mac comes on and I start prancercizing with the music blasting to the highest level on my phone to the embarrassment of my son.
Then this runner comes into the tunnel with the biggest grin on his face.

Happy Arbor Day! Hug a tree #today and thank them for all they do. Planting more is wonderful, but let's also preserve our majestic elders. Those are irreplaceable--saplings will never reach those heights in our short lifetimes.
Marigold update 🌺 They are in ❗️ The tagettes and marigolds have been planted in the large greenhouse. We plant in clumps and they have always done well ✅ Hopefully they will be three or four times the size by the time we plant the tomatoes 🍅 #Allotment#Gardening#GrowYourOwn#Today
