State of JS Runtime

I suggest we have a new survey similar to state of JS called state of JS runtime, to get an idea of which runtimes are most popular in the industry & what are they being used for. (its merely a question in StateOfJS)

🙋🏽‍♀️
Which runtime do you use & for what purpose?

Microsoft Defender is flagging Tailscale 1.46.1 as malware. It's not. We are working to resolve this false positive.

In the meantime, if you're affected, you can upgrade Tailscale or create an exception in Defender: https://tailscale.com/security-bulletins/#ts-2023-007

New security bulletin: An issue in the Tailscale client, combined with a behavior in certain UPnP implementations, could in some cases result in the unintended exposure of UDP ports. We've mitigated the issue with a change to the coordination server and advise you upgrade to Tailscale v1.48.1. More info: https://tailscale.com/security-bulletins/#ts-2023-006/

One of the biggest differences between , , and is that the first two don't really do . It looks like we're doing it, but it's not calming us. If anything, it's making us MORE agitated or stressed. I'm nearly 48 yrs old, and I still don't know how to self-soothe. 😑

I never ever used implicit imports. Feels quite weird and prone to errors still up to this day.

If these ever needed to be converted, bundlers / compilers etc. should be smart, and resolve and update these accordingly.
