UNRWA were successful in delivering aid to Palestinians. Israel made sure they were closed down by nefarious methods.
WCK were successfully delivering food to the Palestinians. Israel launched a targeted attack on 7 international aid workers, murdering them all, and causing the work their NGO does, to be paused. Who knows how long for.
Israel is operating a war using food as a weapon, there's just no doubt now.
It's high time ambassadors were ejected. Boycotts, sanctions, divestments were brought to bear and arms sales stopped. Forever.
Waking up to hear that the #zionist murder factory, aka #Israel, has targeted World Central Kitchen. A charity staffed by good hearted people from all over the world, killing 7 aid workers in an airstrike.
When, as a race, do we call out these acts of barbarism for what they are, and finally take steps to stop the rogue state?
#Gaza / Israeli airstrike on Gaza kills seven working for food aid NGO
Hearing about the Israeli airstrike on Gaza which killed seven working for food aid NGO #WCK, I was reminded immediately of Meron Rapoport’s post about how Israel is sabotaging aid efforts. See Israel's Policy of Calculated Disorder in Gaza https://kolektiva.social/@oatmeal/112133541637687094.
There’s nothing much to add. At this point it does seem Israel is doing its best to sow chaos by killing foreign aid workers; as well as locals it agreed could assist in securing the deliveries.
[…] "This is not only an attack against #WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war," said Erin Gore, chief executive of World Central Kitchen.
@oatmeal@israel@palestine it's also worth mentioning the part Israel played in the UNRWA debacle too.
And then there's ANERA, another NGO delivering aid to Gaza. They've decided it's now too dangerous to continue and have pulled out after one of their workers was killed a few days ago.
Israeli forces did not kill 200 'terrorists' in and around Al Shifa hospital in the past two weeks just to retreat saying 'job done'.
What utter bullshit.
They destroyed a hospital, they killed hospital staff. Doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and civilians. Anyone who is Palestinian, to the Israeli forces, is a terrorist.
Expect the murderers to return soon, with the same excuse, and the same levels of culpability for their #WarCrimes.
So. How will Israel feel about the
US/UK breaking of their maritime blockade of #Gaza?
How will it work? Will there be US/UK boots on the ground there to distribute aid?
Will the US/UK provide aid to Gazans at the same time as providing weapons to the Israelis with which to murder #Palestinians as they queue to receive their aid packages?
UK MPs have made it all about them. The headline today is 'More security for MPs'.
It should have been about the UKs support for #Palestine. But no, the debate has changed and it's all about how scary it is to be confronted by flag waving crowds demanding you do the job they elected you to do. On their behalf.
#Israel / Gaza is only the beginning, Ben Gvir and Smotrich's goal is to "cleanse" the West Bank of Palestinians and clear the Al-Aqsa mosque of its Muslim worshippers [Ehud Olmert]
[...] The supreme goal of Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich is not primarily the conquest of the Gaza Strip. Nor is the settlement of the ruins of #Gaza the cherished aim of this group of messianic fanatics who have seized power in the State of Israel. Gaza is the introductory chapter, the platform they want to build as a foundation from which to wage the real campaign on which they have set their sights: the battle for the West Bank and the Temple Mount.
[...] Ultimately (or perhaps initially) Netanyahu is willing to forgo the captives and undermine the peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan which are a fundamental pillar of Israel's security infrastructure. He is willing to undermine relations with the US to the point of an open crisis with the most committed president in history to Israel's security, Joe Biden. Netanyahu understands that the continued reckless unraveling will isolate Israel in the international community as never before.
[...] As hard as it is, there is no escaping saying it: Netanyahu, this will end in much bloodshed. You have been warned.
@oatmeal@israel@palestine just today, after the killing of one Israeli and three Palestinians, Smotrich was screaming for 'thousands' of homes to be built for settlers in the West Bank. What could the reasoning for that possibly be?
