Ich mache hiermit mal auf die neue SWR Reihe Meisterstücke aufmerksam, die direkt im ersten Beitrag ein richtig klasse Möbel präsentiert. Absolut bemerkens- und sehenswert.
After about 6 months, I finished up a guitar I built for my 16yr old kid. We used maple (which is heavy, but sturdy). It's a Telecaster body style, and he picked out the electronics. We're both pretty happy with how it turned out!
Been playing with plywood patterns based on hexagonal shapes. This creates Esher like structures. These will be used as coasters by my friend who is building a bar in his house.
For the last couple of days I've been working on an #OpenSCAD program to create custom #Pantorouter tenons. Set the tenon dimensions, the inner bit/bearing, outer bit/bearing, rows/columns, and it does all the math. But after printing out a full size paper preview I think what I want to do is going to be much bigger than the Pantorouter can handle. #woodworking
One of the best things about Mastodon has been discovering and connecting with new communities by following hashtags. Most of the people I follow are people I’ve met through different tech communities (mostly iOS). Following hashtags like #lakelife#woodworking#DIY#wine and #breadposting has connected me to many people with similar interests that I probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with otherwise. And it’s brought welcome low-tech offline content into my feed.
Got most of the breadboard ends done. I cannot believe how much work those are! Basically four resaws. Anyway everything fits and I’m gluing up the leaves. The breadboards need to fit about 1/8” to 1/4” deeper. Will do that part tomorrow and hopefully most of the undercarriage too. #woodworking
Does anyone know any businesses in the Ventura County or San Fernando Valley areas which offer custom wood CRC work? Where I can just send them a file and get it machined?
Everywhere seems like they offer metal only even though I'd expect wood to be easier to work with. And I want to make them ~2ft which is a bit too big for the LA library maker space I think.
