Ugh, soot knocked over Parker's water fountain upstairs. I bought 3 of these fancy filtered water fountains I might have to stop using any of them because soot can cause damage by knocking them over and parker never seemed to appreciate them anyway.

Just gonna get a couple really wide bowls they can't knock over

@SirTapTap thats what we had to do too. Caught one of our cats dragging one of our fountains across the room and spilled half of it in the process. Also switched the wide bowls. It's working much better

Getting about a quarter of the way through FIP treatment. Ravioli is a whole different kitty than what he was a few weeks ago. Back to full energy levels and playing more than we've ever seen before. Still a long way to go, but I'm so happy he's doing so much better!

Tips for dealing with a highly neurotic/nervous cat?

Shine behaves normally most of the time but absolutely cannot stand being held and often runs if approached.

I mostly just need to trim his claws. I've heard something like wrap them up in a thick blanket so they can't hurt you and hold them until they chill? Sounds like he'd just panic at least at first

@SirTapTap one of our cats is like that. One thing that always seems to work is those puree treat stick things that look like meat gogurt. Just distract the cat with the treat while you trim. It's obviously much easier with 2 people :neofox_floof:

Do you (a developer), when starting on a new feature, have a time box that magically scales to at least half a day, wherein you just stare at it while going "hmmm" before you even start?

Allegedly to plan, but as if by magic, you figure it all out right at the end of the slot of time (right before lunch / before going home)? Yet your brain does NOT let you skip this sacred staring-at-codebase time to the last 30 seconds of "let's just start here"?

Happy day!

I'm...bi I guess, I'm not sure I care about or respect gender enough to say if I'm non binary, gender fluid or whatever. Calling me a guy is fine I just have no real attachment to any of that stuff.

I view gender as basically fake but want everyone to be able to live and express themselves how they want.

We're in a weird time for this shit, but we can make it better and numbers are increasingly on our side here in the us.

I’m sure it will eventually bounce back but Unity has lost 10% of its value over the last week. Right now the new-new rules helped existing projects (unless they update version). but I think the most uncertain thing for the ecosystem might be “what % of developers will drop Unity for their future projects?”

Hi I'm Cregg, and I am a webdev by trade and a hobbyist gamedev. I've been using for about 5 years and have worked in a larger studio using Unity before, so with recent events I'm happy to help anyone who's new to the engine.

I love C#, FOSS, D&D, reading, and all things gaming and my hobbies generally revolve around that.
