Saying the quiet part out loud, eh? A client of mine mentioned she's going back to the office five days a week after working from home for two years. She went back and forth with her boss about it, and he finally forced her back into the office. She said he gave her rave performance reviews over the last two years, and when she asked why he was forcing her back into the office, he actually said, "I don't care about that. You just need to be here."

@dancinyogi It sounds like Theory X management. Employees won’t do their best work unless you hover over them, making sure they are always working. High control, low trust. It’s terrible.

I had to enroll in a new health plan this year. I work for myself, so I had to go on the open market. You have to give a phone number and email address to even get a quote. Numbers that are not in my contact list are automatically silenced. The call just flashes 'silenced call' on the screen and registers as a missed call.

So far today, I've had 302 missed calls, mostly from health insurance brokers. 302.

This is insane.

@dancinyogi Yes, but I don’t use them. When I read a 3-D book, I often pause and think about what I’ve just read. The audio just keeps going. (I gave up on them in the cassette era.)

The mission statement of Comcast is to deliver half-decent service at ever-increasing monthly fees and to force customers to call for service on a routine basis - also, to take the date you give to switch your account to another address and move it up two weeks just to screw with you.

@dancinyogi We left them many years ago. The signal was not good - some colors on our TV were hazy, almost looking like they were buzzing. I called and to Comcast, and they told me it was my TV and that I should replace it. When Verizon Fios became available, we switched immediately - and we also didn’t have any problems with our TV’s colors after we did.

My neighbor's 7-year-old daughter takes piano lessons. His wife had a piano she inherited from her grandmother, but it was destroyed in a house fire. It's a shame; she wanted to pass it on to her kids. They rent one now.

I have a piano. I have no one to leave it to when I go. I've kept it perfectly tuned and in great shape.

I offered it to them as a way to pass it down - at least it will continue to live on, just through a different family.

They were absolutely thrilled, and so am I😊 😊 😂

Dad's been moved out of the ICU - one step forward! 👍

I circled back to the ICU nurses and gave them a cookie tray. I thanked them, and, once again, I was reminded of how recognition for their hard work is not as common as it should be. In my experience, the nurses have been the ones who kept me from feeling alone and confused. They have enormous workloads, but most have the hearts of a lion and take time to talk to me. They're angels. Recognition should be the norm, not the exception.

I’m colorblind - I see in color but can’t distinguish many shades. The boost button here is hard for me to distinguish the difference between already boosted and ready to boost. Does anyone else have that challenge / issue?
