Back to regular life... the Open House, although filled with positive feedback on our house, was a dud.

Again.

It's so disheartening. We're priced right, the house is beautiful, in great shape, great neighborhood... etc etc.

So we wait.

@GottaLaff Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Here in the NYC metro market, it’s the opposite, esp since the pandemic began. Houses are selling within a very short time at way inflated prices.

In my youth I was a projectionist at the local theatre. Old school, arc lamps for the projectors. To this day I still see changeover marks on old movies. The marks that tell you when to start the second projector running and when to switch.

Anyone interested in becoming a legislator should have to spend one year living with different types of people in different socio-economic brackets. Like study abroad at home.

@StillIRise1963 A year or two of mandatory public service for all young people. Like the draft, but a wider range of options. They would jump feet first into living, working, existing with, and perhaps befriending people from vastly different backgrounds.
