We watched THE INNOCENTS (2021) last night and while I thought it was a solid horror film, I am somewhat bewildered at the 97% on RT. I'd give it a 90% - it was a unique premise, certainly full of horror, and the kids were great in it. But it wasn't a near masterpiece.

(Note that the horror contains some truly appalling animal death, so don't watch it if that's going to traumatize you.)

Apart from that story, I get more interaction from the community. But probably depends on the theme.

A lot of mutuals here seem to be gone over the last months.

@mackuba Yeah I also have a bigger number of followers here, but that's probably 2/3 of inactive users or bots.

Every month I browse through my follows to see who's inactive and I find a lot of 'em.

Some are on BlueSky now, others seem to be disappeared.

Not sure if it's so, or if it's just a feeling, but I think it has become more quiet on my TL here, while on BlueSky it's more constant.

@mackuba I get it if people prefer BlueSky, I get if people prefer the Fediverse.

Both have there pros and cons.

Met a lot of great folks on both sites and here it's more of a personal feeling, but if I want to discuss topics I get definitely more interaction there.

@DJDarren For me Terminator is better than Terminator 2.

The first movie has that dark, dirty look, while the sequel is a big budget popcorn movie. Still great, but nothing comes close to the first film.

It's basically a slasher. Just without a knife ๐Ÿ”ช

@stina_marie @horror I wondered about season 4 getting mixed reviews, since 90% of my bubble LOVED that season.

So I guess maybe non horror peeps where not enjoying it that much?!

@stina_marie @horror I read that a lot of people watched it, but I think not all were that enthusiastic about it as my bubble.

But I get it. If you are expecting a "normal" crime show you are getting a lot of supernatural horror and I guess not everyone is into that.

Reminded a lot of The Outsider, which was also between crime and supernatural horror. Having no idea it was supernatural I got my parents to watch it :ablobcatrave: :ablobcathyper:
