Semi-productive day. Got the easiest stuff out of the way lol.

Got the voting choices for my Discord's movie nights in February live for people to vote on.

Got the dogs latest batch of food cooked and prepped for the next 4 days.

Finishing up the current vinyl that is spinning, then going to do some laundry and try to do a bit more cleaning up/organizing on the first floor.

Will then finish up with more vinyl, before we watch the Weird Al movie UHF for movie night on Discord at 8PM.

This has potential to be a win against my ADHD today XD

"Legacy" video games. Implement the concept of playthroughs permanently changing the global initial game states. I'm thinking of things like mechanics being locked away until you die and then you get to start a new game with those mechanics unlocked.

Are there any implementations anyone can think of?

What I've seen here on the Fedi the past year. Such a wealth of talent, in arts, media, comms, writing, tech with so great a passion for decentralising, FOSS, community building, diversity & rights, environment & sustainability, democracy & quality of life vs shareholder value ways of thinking.

And yet this enormous talent pool of progressive thought seems curiously unmotivated to communicate with wider society?

It has occurred to me that there are, today, adults walking the earth who have no idea that "long distance", meaning phone calls between two people who are relatively far away from each other, was expensive, and thus made rarely, and generally was once a thing. Long distance calls were special.

Long distance meant two different cities. Maybe even the nearest major city if you lived far enough away from it. International calls were a whole other thing on top of that, almost incomprehensible.

Don't wait for "some day" cause one day you'll be old and dusty and you wonder where all that time went
If there's something you're interested in pursuing, work at it
Small steps
Maybe you could have a new years resolution where you do one small drawing part a day of no more than 5-10 minutes
You'll likely have gotten somewhere by the time a year passed 😁
Very few people start out at the finish so no need to be that hard on yourself

I've got a theory on NTs. They are total narcissists, in that tgey only can care about their own emotional state. To a NT, the problem of the coming omnicide isn't a problem because of the death and destruction already in the mail. It's a problem because it's hard to block out awareness of that, and that messes up their current emotional state, interfering with their ability to live life the way they want. 1/

There is no political "side" that is immune to doing oppression AKA "-isms." There is no country that is immune to doing oppression, there is no group of humans who is immune to doing oppression! This is why it is considered ongoing work every day.

Are some groups or factions worse and doing way more bad stuff? Absolutely. Some are wholly founded on unreserved oppression! It's easy to see they're awful. We would call them right-wing groups. There are some of these factions in every country.
