One last 50s home magazine coffee ad - there was a whole series of these shots of domesticated women dangling these coffee cups. In this one, a housewife has stepped out onto her porch, and is holding the usual coffee pot in one hand and the dangling cup in the other, but this time she is inviting her neighbour, who is beating her rugs in the next yard over, for a coffee. the neighbour's husband is putting up the summer screens on the windows. Ahh, springtime. The ad has been photoshopped to show the housewife dangling a gruesome decapitated head from her hand rather than a coffee cup, while her neighbour looks back approvingly.

So, this was released today. My third stamp with Canada Post. Qarlinngua (The pants). And technically my second stamp with a family member in it, as the tiny figure in it is my son Travis. Now for one with Hilary in it.
