Just got back from getting a flu shot and had the opportunity to ask why CVS cancelled my phizer Covid shot. It turns out that it’s a problem with the insurance companies and they hope to get it straightened out by Wednesday or next week at the latest. The problem also affects the Moderna Covid vaccine as well, but CVS was a able to get a some before the problem happened. @larand @ai6yr

My wife saw a Coopers Hawk for the first time in a long time this morning. It was chasing two squirrels that were also chasing each other with as much enthusiasm as they were showing in avoiding the hawk. The hawk was repeatedly dropping to the ground where the squirrels were, only to have them repeatedly go up a tree. Sorry I missed the show, it must have been quite good judging from all of my wife’s shouting at the squirrels that I heard. @Catlynn

My wife has been trying for hours to get her cellphone to talk with our new washing machine via Bluetooth. I’m still not sure why. LG sends her an access code that she needs to type in within only 2 1/2 minutes! This is a washing machine, not even a bank account requires this!

Just got our Pfizer Covid vaccines at CVS on Victoria for 23-24. I asked about the RSV vaccine and was told I could just walk in for that one, but they were going to be very busy the next 4 weeks (something to do with clinics) and I might want to make an appointment. @ai6yr @larand

I usually just use the EVgo app, but if I can also search for Electrify America chargers and pay for using either with the BMW app it might be worth switching.

Off roaders cut thru a mesh fence on one of our local beaches that protect nesting sites of endangered snowy plovers and damaged the area. I was just listening to a podcast that reported that Tesla has cancelled job offers to interns at the last minute. One student had already spent thousands on housing arrangements, etc and was making airline arrangements when Tesla rescinded their offer.

It’s gotten a bit smoky in our neighborhood from the South fire. Closed up the windows and sealed the front door a bit like we did during the Thomas fire. Glad to have air filters going. Also glad that the fire isn’t progressing as rapidly as during the Thomas fire. Today was feeling too familiar. The wind doesn’t seem to be blowing as hard and the fire seemed to start earlier in the day which might have given firefighters more time before sunset than they did 6 years ago. Grateful for them and watch duty today.
