Here’s my single best recommendation for improving voter confidence in US elections (among many others):

Elected representatives must stop lying about “stolen elections” and conspiracy theories, and media outlets must stop amplifying their lies to make a profit.

A good start would be for all the MSM to stop giving platforms to known liars. Also, stop any interview immediately to debunk any established lies. Stop three times and interview is over.

Of course, Fox, OAN and others won't play along. But they'll rapidly find themselves cutoff from the norm.

Yep, they're awful. In both cases, it's university mgmt calling in the cops. In Texas, it was the governor.

Noem is a perfect Rep politician with all these scandals. The more compromised a person is, the more useful and pliant they are to the big money behind the .

The RW media machine will overwhelm any scandal, so they win. The real blackmail power is that the machine will turn on them. Hasn't Trump taught us that?

As for VP pick, no. Noem would take too much attention away from Trump. Look for another boring nobody, like Pence.

Yes, Noem's "I shot my dog" story was obviously intended to project a violence-based strongman persona.

Not reason, training, patience, just strict "my way/highway" violence.

Fortunately, the story was about a pet - and so all people could see how abhorrent the approach is. But if the story involved, migrants or liberals or LGBT, then she be the toast of the right.
