Hi all, I am Tormod 🇳🇴🇸🇪 (he / him)

My days are spent as a consultant in enterprise IT organizations, mainly focusing on teamwork and the people side of delivery. In particular with coaching, processes and enabling teams to work better together across departments and vendors.

My passions are in the areas of #photography, #graphicdesign, #typography and #music. And, of course, family ❤️

Happy to talk to anyone, and I will assume you're awesome until proven otherwise.

Eh... through RSS feeds, naturally. All searchable from inside my podcast app.

Worried I misunderstood the question?

I have a Sonos Roam speaker (waterproof wireless triangular one). I know I can boss it around with my voice to play music. Is there a way to have it pass things (like Reminders for example) to Siri? I doubt it but I figured if anyone did know they hang out on Mastodon and might tell me.

airwhale,
@airwhale@mastodon.social avatar

@Verso

Looks like you can at least add it to your Apple Home app, so maybe there's a way. Sonos does have a list of voice commands (didn't find an exhaustive list online), and once you've set it up, you can ask it "Hey Sonos, what can you do?"

Best of luck with that.

    Politicians facing re-election prioritize voter-pleasing policies over tough long-term challenges.

    preface to say: I don't want to be friends with you because you hate Apple—it's among the least imaginative things to build your personality on 30 years running yet people still do it with gusto

    But man, what a sad moment for a company that's built all its good will on the fusion of engineering and the humanities. The whole point of Apple products is to support your success with everything this ad so gleefully destroys

    But there's a deeper irony…

    Agree they would have done way better with “Squeeze” and somehow magically squeezed all of those representations of creativity in there, without damaging anything.

    Also, every time I hear “even thinner” I think “just keep the old thickness and give me more battery!”

    ? I mean this in the most supportive way, but we need to talk about yellow. As in very light skinned people should choose basically any other color as their top. Just watched the , and... that objectively stunning Elizabeth Debicki and whoever the charming +1 to Kieran Culkin was-yellow is NOT a charming color for very white people.

    Sure, any Latina, Black or Indian person can rock it, caucasian people just look sick from that reflection.

    I just can’t accept the conventional wisdom that liquid cooling using water by default needs to contaminate that water.

    Sure, use the water for cooling, but keep it in a closed and clean system so it can be recirculated or reused. This seems like a problem current engineering should be able to solve (supported by AI, naturally.)

    Some German nouns are used completely out of context:

    Bock = goat
    Ich habe keinen Bock (I have no goat) = I don't want to

    Wurst = sausage
    Das ist mir Wurst (That's sausage to me) = I don't care

    Besen = broom
    Ich fress einen Besen (I eat a broom) = I don't believe this

    Keks = cookie
    Du gehst mir auf den Keks (You go on my cookie) = You're annoying me

    Bahnhof = train station
    Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof (I understand only train station) = I don't understand anything
