The MG4 lane keep assist is scary shit. On the highway in the rain, and on narrow country roads it kept beeping and trying to steer me off the road. It can't be disabled, because it turns itself back on when you start the car. Apparently that's how it gets its 5 star safety rating.

I don't know what it is with the MG4 but the stereo is not great. I thought it was just DAB sounded bad, but turns out anything I play on it has that sloshy sibilance of a 90s Napster rip.

Holy hell that was SOO much more of a screw around than I thought it would be but I finally have a Mastodon dev environment to play around in. Vagrant just flat out refused to work so I had to do the manual install. https://docs.joinmastodon.org/dev/setup/

The company that manages our building EV infrastructure went bust. The new one turned everyone's internet off to install their new hardware today.

Just now the building manager proudly let me know the new system is up and that I can get a charger installed. But I caught the electrician as he was packing up and he was like there's NO way you'll be able to run a cable that long, our system can't handle it.

So I'm about to have an entire conniption.

Ordered a v2l cable for my car so I can run a cooktop while I'm camping. Had to call them up because the payment messed up. But the guy said they make them to order rather than having a bunch sitting around on the shelf which is kinda cool.

@anathema_device yeah it's an adaptor that plugs into the charging port and gives you a normal 240 plug so you can run whatever

I've been missing the sunshine lately so I'm working from beside the river this arvo. I brought some eucalyptus-based cleaner to spray the table cos they get pretty gross. But it also managed to completely lift the paint pen someone tagged it with. So now the table is sparkling new and my hands are covered in black paint.

One litre of petrol weighs around 740g but produces around 2.31kg of carbon dioxide when burned.

It's unintuitive, but diesel and petrol are full of carbon. When fuel burns, the carbon combines with two oxygen molecules (both of which are heavier elements) to create carbon dioxide.

New local, Come To Daddy opened down the road. It's packed, but it's cool. There's a light food menu. Both cock and mocktails, and beer on tap. It's nice being among the queers.
