I haven't really made a proper post about my first solo and Faircamp-exclusive E.P, so it's time to rectify that:

It's a collection of my #DAWless jams, recorded between August 2021 and April 2022.

Stylistically I'd say it's #Electronica, ranging from #Chillout, #Dubstep, #Electro to #Techno.

Any recommendations for nice Tape Echo style plugins under 50 credits I should try?

So far I've tested Cherry Audio Stardust 201, UAD Galaxy, Imaginando K7D, Softube Tube Delay, Waves HDelay, Softube Tape Echoes and Pulsar Echorec.

My current favourites are:
3. Softube Tape Echoes: slightly too clean Melos type echo
2. Pulsar Echorec: Nice Binson emulation

1. UAD Galaxy: Much better Space Echo than the Cherry Audio version

I've got a n00b #Faircamp question:

I noticed some releases I acquired have cover images and track numbers in their metadata, others don't (including my own).

The manual says the rewrite_tags option (which I used) strips all tags and replaces them with only the needed ones, which I assumed would include the two fields mentioned above.

Am I right in thinking that's not the case, and the trick is to turn that option off and do all the tagging on the file, rather than through the .eno?
