Wie ist denn die Meinung zu Tuxedo Notebooks für #linux? Kumpel fragte mich gerade, ob wie ich ein Infinitybook finde. Rein von den Eckdaten her, sehen die ziemlich gut aus.
@oliver mich stört, dass man die Firmware soweit ich noch nicht über #fwupd aktualisieren kann #tuxedo hat das in Planung, allerdings nun schon sehr lange
The new "money or data" policy of #Seznam made me explore #OSM based apps and I'm really surprised how good they have become.
And #StreetComplete? It's best fun since I was "stumbling" to help Mozilla Location Service 10 years ago. 🙂
BTW any tip for a good map app that shows #hiking trails? I like #OrganicMaps, but I can't make the app show them. 🤷
@peterdrake Yes, I like it and it is also physically solid. In the beginning I had problems with an often crashing #Firefox but that problem seems solved by an update because it does not happen anymore. If you want to have an impression of the camera you can look at #shotonfairphone5
As the enmuskification of Twitter continues, I've set up an account on LinkedIn. I'll be posting updates to martinfowler.com on there too. However these are the same as my posts here, so there's no need to move unless you prefer it over there.
I still have a happy social life and I am totally satisfied with the wonderful communication I have in the #fediverse since 2018. On my own instance. Because decentralisation ;)

@ViolaB Ich wünsche mir, dass du hier bleibst. Das Fediverse ist etwas besonderes. Es ist eben kein "Monopolservice" und jeder der Demokratie mag, sollte solche Services unterstützen. Wenn Threads und Bluesky sich an das Fediverse anschließen, dann kannst du doch auch mit deinem Mastodon-Account folgen. Wenn sie das nicht tun, bleib hier wenigstens auch aktiv.
Well, this is interesting: @heiseonline has much more #Follower here on #Mastodon and even more on #X than on #Bluesky or #Threads. But if you take that in account, when looking at the visits (just for today), that's a very different picture of visits per follower.
It's very relative of course (in absolute numbers #Twitter and #Mastodon are still far ahead)!
