I'm looking for a contract frontend dev to help reduce our backlog of small & medium UI issues and maintenance tasks at @redqueen.
We're a tiny team, so the context switching for this sort of bread and butter work is brutal on the two folks who are responsible for designing and building out more substantial architectural stuff & infrastructure. I think that having someone else on hand to help pick up that slack could be really useful for us.
The core skills we're looking for are HTML, CSS, and Django. Our application is focused on server-side rendering; we are not building an single-page app. We're looking for someone who's solid on the basics: semantic web, and accessibility.
In a perfect world this person would have the ability to learn Rust (or maybe already knows some). Our HTML rendering is not in Rust, but it will probably move there within the next year. We will be using more JavaScript (written as TypeScript) over time, but this is not a skill we need right now, so that's a nice bonus (or learning opportunity) too.
Right now, we're a small five-person team, most of whom work Pacific hours. But we're optimistic that this sort of work is pretty self-contained, and should be possible asynchronously, so we're open to any time zone. Unfortunately, we are only able to contract with people authorized to work in the US, though you can be located anywhere.
I'm preparing for a system design interview for a job (in Elixir), involving an event based system
I've found something from interview.io and I will re-read "Designing Data Intensive Applications" soon but I wanted to see if there was some popular resources on either system design interviews, event based systems or even both!
Ich bin zwar nicht auf der Suche nach 'nem neuen Job, aber den hier finde ich ja schon irgendwie außergewöhnlich: Admin wird für ein Forschungsschiff gesucht
Hey everybody,
Since I'm out of money and unable to work properly I need to find a way to make money with what I can do - what I do anyway. That is Fediverse-moderation or -content creation.
Are you aware of any instances looking for payed moderators or a company or whatever looking for someone to be responsible for their Fediverse presence?
I have experience with both.
I'm moderating instances since February 2020 and moderated in the Fairphone forum before. And I'm posting on the Fediverse since 2018 and have 6.7k followers.
I can only work remotely from home (Vienna, Austria) and I don't do Zoom or Google Hangouts or any other corporate crap for team meetings.
Please boost so I can find a job. :boost:
Thanks! ❤️
My son in law was just laid off. He's a pen tester with most of his experience in web apps. His company's clients include big tech firms with their own layoffs. He just finished a project for Amazon. He has a state of the art home office. He is young and happy to broaden his knowledge into other areas. He is also good at writing client reports and explaining issues to non-tech clients.
Our team at Microsoft are going to be hiring another Python Developer Advocate very soon. We're looking for content creators (writers, video, or streaming) that are always looking to improve their Python knowledge and share that with others. This particular role will focus a lot on AI with libraries like LangChain. If you're interested, chat to me or someone else on the team
We are a small fully remote team and we offer very flexible #remote working conditions on high-quality business applications for people who love #Angular and #TypeScript but may need a break from big corporations and over-demanding agencies.
