Mastodon lets you set up custom timeline filters which automatically CW or completely hide posts with specific words or phrases.

To add a filter:

1. Log in through your server’s website
2. Go to ⚙️ Preferences > Filters (On the mobile website click ⚙️ then ☰ then Filters)
3. Click Add New Filter button
4. Choose the settings you want, then click Save New Filter

There are nuances to using the filters, and I've done a list of tips about them at:

Slightly dismayed that @ivory has the same poor UX on the Search page as Tweetbot had, where:

If I go to the Search page, either by accident or deliberately then change my mind, there’s no way of getting back/out without doing something irrelevant e.g. tapping Trending.

One thing I really wish mastodon had is location tags. I’m following a lot of nature and wildlife accounts and often have no clue where in the world photos were taken, even when I visit the poster’s profile.
