@ChocoBetty @Tusky Das im Browser liegt an Mastodon selbst. Dass Tusky bei der Benachrichtigung im Client nicht anzeigt, dass es Bilder bei dem Beitrag gibt, liegt an Tusky selbst.

I'm writing a longer (as it seems) article on the lock-in effect of solutions like that are using open formats like for storage. The file format is not the only thing that might lock you in.

I did already start with a list of arguments but also want to collect your ideas so that I don't forget a good argument.

Please, no emotions, just facts and objective arguments.

@publicvoit Great idea. I had similar thoughts that fileformat ain't the only lock-in. There's more and it makes it hard to find a solution that lasts 10-20 years (e. g. to document tax-related things, server stuff or general knowledge that is timeless). That's why I'm a fan of OpenDocument and Microsoft as well. At least it's certain that I can still open my stuff in 10-20 years.

Your product should be what’s exciting, not your stack or your devops.

@sarah Interesting, very true point of view. That's something many junior devs should keep in mind. It has something familiar with the fancy micro services vs. Plain old Monolith software design discussions.

Noch ist die Informationslage dünn, aber alle die können, sollten auf ihrer Fritz!Box das aktuell veröffentlichte Update FRITZ.OS 7.57 (7.31) einspielen. Offenbar hat AVM eine (schwerwiegende) Sicherheitslücke gefixt.

@preslavrachev is it a thing? I never got warm with VS Code (same with Intellij; I just dislike the web-app look and feel and how nothing works as expected for me). Beside of that, isn't it lacking tons of features? Would surprise me if it gets replaced by that.
