O, Happy Day! It’s lovely to wake up and see that Democrats have overperformed expectation, once again, even in deep red states like Kentucky. Congratulations also to Ohio and all the volunteers who worked so hard to enshrine a precious right into the state constitution. And to Virginia Democrats for holding the State Senate and flipping the House of Delegates. Sorry, Gov. Youngkin! You don’t get to drag the state backward any further. What a collection of victories!

Youngkin tried to buy the vote. In Virginia, we checks in the mail ONE DAY before the election, with his name on it.

Of course, it’ll probably affect next year’s taxes.

“Why be so cynical?” Because it’s easy. Gets clicks.

I dropped sites like the Verge long ago. They stopped being credible.

To them, they simply cannot bring themselves to say anything good about Apple.

They are simply waiting for Apple to fail and each year, Apple keeps making them wait.

Yellow screens? Hot phones? Wi-Fi issues? These sites are probably, literally, praying for an Apple recall so they can unleash the “Apple has fallen” stories written back in 2010.

I haven’t even finished paying off my M2 16” MacBook Pro with 96gb of ram ordered via Apple Card in March.

One thing for sure though, I would have gotten that 128gb, so I actually SAVED money.

I disagree with some of Gruber’s stuff. Don’t think he’s a tool. Your stuff seems to be Apple leaks and bashing.

Recent article: ABC and MS are doing wonderful things with AI and Apple releases spellchecker. Implication: Apple is behind. That seems to be a major theme of your Apple stuff.

It’s easy to generate views regarding Apple and it seems like that is the endgame.

Space precludes a longer answer unless you’re interested.

Weird bug I’ve never seen with any previous iPhone I’ve owned: my iPhone 15 Pro stopped charging over USB-C. Tried multiple cables, multiple chargers, nothing.

Powered the iPhone off and back on, and it’s back to normal. But I can’t recall ever seeing an iPhone refuse to charge before. (iOS 17.0.3.)

Is the world overall, for the most people, a better or worse place than when you were born? I was born in 1968; I believe it’s generally better for most people, despite being terrible for many. Do you expect at the time you leave this world for that to change much for better or for worse? I used to think for better; after the events of the last two years, for worse. I don’t expect to die soon, though (most people don’t).

Better than during segregation, for example. In our(us two) lifetime , my marriage would have been illegal.

I think it could be better in the future, but we have to fight for it. Almost each day.

Having seen so much racism in my life, I can say, it can be hard to summon the energy to do battle.

But battle we must.

I cope with daily multiple superhero lock screens. Or follow people who seem to be people of good character(like yourself)!

Continuity Camera is not working on my iPhone 15 Pro (with latest iOS 17) only in FaceTime on my Monterey M1 Mac mini. However, I can access it within Camo and it works fine with my M1 MBA. Has anyone seen this error and cleared it? I have reset the Handoff setting in iOS 17. It works fine everywhere except FaceTime in Monterey. Yes, I rebooted!
