Unter #UnisinsFediverse versuchen wir möglichst viel öffentlichen Druck aufzubauen, damit die Hochschulen endlich X verlassen und stattdessen die sozialen Medien im #Fediverse nutzen. Teil der Kampagne ist eine Petition:
Jede Unterstützung zählt: Unterschriften, weiterverbreiten, mit Uni-Leitungen reden und sie überzeugen Musk den Rücken zu kehren und das Fediverse zu unterstützen!
Jeder kennt diese "How it started, how it's going" memes. Aktuell kann man sagen, dass wir bei openPetition nicht an Ironie sparen. Aber uns interessiert eher das "how it is going".
Ein Grund, warum @MetaGer meine Lieblingssuchmaschine ist, hat nichts mit Privatsphäre oder Unabhängigkeit von Google zu tun.
Sondern mit #Scopia, einer kleinen Suchmaschine aus dem Umfeld des SuMa e.V., die neben Yahoo und Yandex bei jeder #MetaGer-Suche abgefragt wird. Deren Ergebnisse sind oft veraltet oder ein bisschen daneben. Wie ein alter Freund, der einem nicht das sagt, was man hören will, dem man aber trotzdem zuhören sollte.

irgendwie hat mir der #37C3 ganz besonders gut getan. ich fand es noch entspannter und angenehmer als alle früheren congresse, auf denen ich bisher war (der #23C3 war mein erster, die ersten beiden leipziger fielen wegen babypause aus)

Ich will jetzt nicht all zu spitzfindig sein, aber man braucht noch nicht mal eigene E-Mail-Assessed nutzen, denn seit neuestem gibt es den Chatmail-Server und da kann man auch anonyme E-Mails einfach erstellen. Einfach folgenden QR-Code scannen und dann geht's los.

It will be able to do all that my trusty old #DX7 II-D could do, and so much more. I don't care too much for the #ROMpler and workstation parts (except that it may give me a usable piano sound), but using different waveforms or even samples in FM synthesis will be exciting and something even many modern synths that cost ten times as much can't do. And the #SY77 is so underrated that it's currently cheaper than its rack variant or even an original DX7, while retaining its predecessor's superior keybed with #aftertouch.

#Threads is testing federation for a few selected profiles. I'm now following @mosseri! It's one-way for now, but it's exciting. It's a step towards the interoperable social web that we've been advocating for 🙂
@jt_rebelo Yes, that may be. I can also remember the time when Document Foundation developed its open format, and a short time later Microsoft came around the corner with a supposedly open format and numerous binary blobs.
We know how history will turn out. And that is precisely what I want to say with my statement. We will see how it works.

@ulfi Ich denke, dass wir in dem Bereich KI bei #Digikam in den kommenden Jahren noch mehr sehen werden. Es ist schon erstaunlich, was sich da in den vergangenen Monaten getan hat. Beispielsweise würde ich da einiges im Bereich Schärfen und Hochskalieren von Bildern erwarten. Algorithmen/Modelle, wie in https://www.upscayl.org/ (AGPL 3) sind sicher auch in Digikam zukünftig nutzbar.
