Getting movies in Pan & Scan is annoyingly hard. I'm just gonna have to buy a bunch of VHS tapes and digitize them, I guess.

Maybe some occasional early "full-screen" DVDs on ebay. Those'd be easier to rip.

@flangey @gsuberland I think that’s kinda the problem - for all their design faults and cost-cutting shenanigans, they are pretty damn tolerant of physical abuse. I know one that dived out of a drone and bounced for 30M down an asphalt carpark, which worked fine after (unfortunately that RPi is now lost somewhere in the Murray-Sunset National Park, along with the LoRaWAN radio and drone it was attached to)

@decryption FX lenses work fine on DX sensors, they just get a 1.5x zoom factor. You can also use DX lenses on FX sensors (and film) if you’re ok with the outer 1/3 of the frame being black. The more recent FX bodies even have a dedicated DX crop mode that only reads out the middle of the sensor

Windows just tried to turn off outlook notifications because I haven't interacted with them for a while.

MOST OF THE TIME THE POINT OF THE NOTIFICATION IS THE NOTIFICATION ITSELF!!!
