Although some will be fortunate enough to escape the perils of MS #Recall and move to #Linux we have to accept for the vast majority this is either simply not allowed by their IT departments or not possible due to the heavy reliance and integration with other Microsoft products that aren’t truely available on Linux. Whilst we should embrace an uptake of Linux we should continue to fight for #privacy and just common sense in Windows.

So my plan with my current #VPN provider expires soon and I’m thinking of moving to #Proton. I like the idea of getting, as part of the plan, extras such as Proton mail - get some control and #privacy over my email accounts (away from Gmail). However, I am a little worried that if I create multiple email addresses I essentially lock myself into Proton’s paid plan… Losing email addresses would be an unnecessary nightmare to manage 🤔
Has anyone else switched to Proton to manage their VPN & emails?

Does anyone know if this is an error on #CRAN? I went to install the {multcompView} package only to have the error returned:
package ‘multicompView’ is not available for this version of R
So I naturally checked on CRAN what version of R it Depends on, and to my suprise, nothing was listed 🤔 I would have thought listing the R version under Depends would be a hard requirement and would have failed CRAN checks otherwise.

Crashing a user's R session due to license validation errors is not an acceptable function. A license check should never terminate a whole session, even if the package thinks the license is already in use. #rstats

What is your preferred style for naming directories and files, hyphens or underscores to separate words? I notice a lot of people use hyphens and one argument is it is easier to read, however underscores offers the benefit of a double click highlights the whole file name or directory name.
