    Months after an FBI document referred to a Bansky stencil and other generic symbols and slogans as evidence of "anarchist extremism," the District Attorney in Queens is claiming that two brothers arrested on charges of manufacturing "ghost guns" and homemade explosives were also found with "anarchist related propaganda."

    Photos from the press conference show however a photo of a Gadsden flag and a Punisher patch on a tactical vest, two images common with the far-Right.

    Outlets also reported that journals seized are filled with "conspiracies" and references to Charles Manson.

    Israel has managed to get the world to suspend funding to UNRWA in Gaza after announcing that 12 employees of the UN agency were involved in the Oct. 7 attacks. For reference, UNRWA employs 13,000 people in Gaza.

    Meanwhile, we all continue to fund Israel despite scores of videos of IDF troops participating in abuse, extrajudicial executions, and looting.

    Israel has shot Doctors Without Borders medics who wore bright orange vests. War crimes & genocide for years & years. Meanwhile the US gives Israel $9m/day.     Seeing a lot of people saying things like "why don't Americans protest more." I'm not exactly sure how to respond because:

    1. In 2020 America had the largest sustained series of protests in world history. Americans protest plenty.

    2. American activists are shot by police at a very high rate. Don't forget this.

    Americans protest at a very high rate already. We don't protest more because so many of us have been murdered and our police are very dangerous. Hope this helps.

    A better question is, why doesn’t American media cover the important news events when people mass protest across the country? The answer is capitalism.

    To cover why people protest would mean a discussion of systematic failures. The media tells us that failure is an individual issue, “you’re the problem, not the system.”

    The US gives $9 million a day to Israel. You better fucking believe we are on the streets protesting. We the people do not support genocide.

    there have been huge protests all over the US in support of Palestine. But we never hear about them, except from our friends who live in cities around the country. Never makes the news, even when 200k people march.

    The first true airplane that could take off, land, and take off again from anywhere was invented by a Brazilian man, Alberto Santos-Dumont.

    It would be ignorant to overlook that the Brazilian aviation industry is just as old as the American aviation industry--and it has a much better safety record in recent years.

    Last night in Portland, OR, community members showed up in support of Palestine to protest a Zionist “comedian” who had a show at Helium Comedy club. At the start there were a few cops and one standing out front doing security. Despite freezing cold temperatures, the energy was high. All night people were chanting, yelling “shame” at folks entering the show, blasting music, waving flags and signs, and egging cop cars and the comedy club.

    While making my breakfast I just heard an NPR "feel-good" story about how gathering with family for the Thanksgiving holiday will be freer from previous years' COVID constraints.

    NPR interviewed a few folks about whether or not they would rapid-test prior to gathering, how the presence of high-risk family members would affect their plans, etc.

    The overall consensus of the interviewees was a more positive outlook and a "return to normal."

    NPR then mentioned that COVID cases will most likely peak next month, while failing to explicitly connect holiday gatherings to prior years' COVID surges.

    NPR did not interview anyone with long COVID for the story, which could have added some valuable balance by reminding the audience of the long-term risks.

    Feel-good stories such as this are designed to tell us what we want to hear but will leave a lot tragedy in their wake.

    Please be careful out there, y'all. Gathering with family and friends is important, but don't give (or receive) the gift of long COVID this holiday season.

    A few weeks ago good friend got Covid and gave it to two other friends. Then my husband got it & vectored it to me. It’s raging.

    People are not taking it seriously anymore. People, including my husband, treat Covid as if it’s the new common cold now. :( Be diligent.

    Liberals are currently using a brutal police force to suppress leftwing protests and organizing.

    The same DA who is prosecuting Trump in Atlanta using the proper use of RICO statues is the same District Attorney who is using the RICO statutes to prosecute and protesters for checks notes trying to crowdsource bail for already jailed comrades and bringing food to forest tree sitters.

    White Entitled Liberals love their sense of comfort and privilege and anything that threatens to upset that, be it an uncivilized and vulgar head of state or marginalized people causing a ruckus because cops and poverty keep killing them, causes them to go into full attack mode.

    There is a reason they hate Bernie Sanders and Trump with equal amounts of vitriol. Because both of them lay bare how truly horrifying and ugly America is, but in different ways. Bernie brought unwanted attention to the inequality and poverty in America, and Trump brought unwanted attention to the racism and fascism that was already there but by turning a dog whistle into an air raid siren.

    These are the same people who were more upset that people were punching Nazis and not upset enough that there were Nazis to punch.

    They believe cops protect them from the unwashed masses. They don't want anything to actually get better, they just want things to stay exactly the same, and an armed police state ensures that.
