I got a demo of the first AI application I've been really excited about the other day. And it hit me that the thing about AI that I distrust is that both the data collection and the applications tend to punch down and entrench existing power dynamics. But if the modeling and applications can punch up - give regular people more power over incumbents - then it's a very different story.

@Minimus I think I am contaminated by spanish subjuntivo, there you express "some degree of certainty" like "probably will" using the subjunctive present tense hence comedat. But you are right, present future is comedet. O how nice all the subtle variations ;) Thank you minimus !

    A while back @mintynet had his car stolen in a keyless theft. He called me in as a guru to help work out how exactly the car was stolen, and now we know exactly how they did it and also how to stop them.
