There was this great little retro gaming accessory like 15 years ago, Retrode, that you could plug into a Mac via USB and insert a SNES cart into it then copy the ROM off your own cart — as it would ‘mount’ it as a mass storage device containing a .ROM file.

You could even run carts directly over USB in your favorite emulator.

I wonder if such a thing works on iOS these days? Maybe you could run a real game off a cart in Delta using its Files support 🤪

Details on AltStore PAL + screenshots I took during the installation process.

So what am I missing here? I use a US Apple ID, and the region is set to US, but I definitely live in the EU, isn’t that enough?

@rafa you can't use the US Apple ID. Log in with an EU one, install it, then log out and back into the US one. It'll work

@viticci just saw the HomeKit hardware article on MacStories. Good read!

One note, the HomeKit API actually does support pan and tilt cameras officially. But manufacturers don’t support it as Apple Home doesn’t support it. And no third party supports it as no camera support it. 😂
